Slinky is a rescue kitty who just showed up on the front porch and adopted us.
He was all but starved to death and really long and thin and reminded me of a slinky, for some reason...
And he had been abused, maybe even tortured...
He had an injury on his leg from an "incident" before we took him in...
He still sometimes acts like he thinks someone is going to hurt him when approached...
Gato was a lonely kitty and needed a buddy, anyway; so Slinky picked the right front door to go to. Slinky was taken to the vet for medical attention and neutering and was nursed back to health.
Slinky still has "abandonment" issues and rarely comes out of his carrier during outings. We hope he'll grow out of that in time.
